About Me

My name is Shari Stapleton-Smith. I believe service is more than a profession—it’s a calling. Throughout my career and personal life, I have been the person people turn to for help navigating challenges, organizing next steps, or having someone in their corner who truly cares.

Resourceful and determined, I bring both heart and practicality to the work I do. My innate sense to assess, create order, connect people to resources, and help them move forward became the foundation for Kindred Waypoint LLC.

  • I was inspired to start Kindred Waypoint after my sister passed away unexpectedly and without a will. Her children were in their 20’s and unsure of what to do next. I stepped in immediately to help my eldest nephew navigate and manage the chaos that followed: finding and working with an estate attorney, cleaning, clearing and repairing, then selling her home and coordinating donations; it was a lot! I also helped him navigate next steps for the small business my sister left behind. I saw, firsthand, how overwhelming life can feel without the right support.

    This, coupled with a lifetime of experience strengthened my resilience and deepened my commitment to meet people where they are, and to help with kindness, patience, and respect. 

    Everyone deserves someone who will listen, care, and help them find their path forward. Through Kindred Waypoint LLC, I have created a service grounded in trust, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping people navigate life’s transitions with dignity, optimism, and determination.
